CHOCOLATE PUDDING

This is, no kidding, my no.1 snack right now. Quick, simple, sweet and delicious.
I’m pretty sure you can get a chocolate pudding packet that is free of sugar and other dangerous chemicals in the nearest supermarket. So did I at first. But then I realized that for the same price I could make at least ten times more of this liquid deliciousness, and at that point, I started cooking up my own puddings.
You need only 3 ingredients to make your own pudding (plus a sweetener of choice) – starch, milk, and cocoa powder.
I like using tapioca (manioc starch) most but any other (corn/potato) will be alright. The texture and smoothness may vary a bit tho.
You can use any milk you want. I usually go for coconut, almond or oat milk but any will do, also regular cow’s milk. However, I advise using plant milk.
So… when are you making your first pudding?

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons starch
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • sweetener of choice (around 1-2 tablespoons)

Heat up 1 2/3 cup of milk in a small pot. Combine starch, cacao and your sweetener, and whisk them (best using egg whisker) into the remaining milk. When the milk in the pot starts forming bubbles, pour in the starch mixture. Keep everything on very low heat and stir all the time. The pudding thickens up quickly. Transfer to a bowl and top with favorite toppings.

BUDYŃ CZEKOLADOWY

Składniki:

  • 2 szklanki mleka
  • 4 łyżki skrobii
  • 1 łyżka kakao
  • wybrane słodzidło (około 1-2 łyżek)

Podgrzej 1 2/3 szklanki mleka w małym garnuszku. Połącz skrobię, kakao i słodzidło, a potem wmieszaj je (najlepiej mieszadełkiem do jajek) do pozostałej części mleka.
Kiedy mleko w garnku zacznie mieć bąbelki, wlej do niego miksturę ze skrobią. Gotuj wszystko na malutkim ogniu, stale mieszając. Budyń bardzo szybko gęstnieje. Przelej do miski i udekoruj ulubionymi dodatkami.
